INTRODUCING THE SECOND ANNUAL HEAR 901 FESTIVAL.
(MEMPHIS, TN) – Fans of good music, whether it be indie rock, rap, or soul, will be pleased to know that the University of Memphis’ student run record label, Blue Tom, is presenting their second annual HEAR 901 music festival on April 17, 2016. The event, being held at the legendary New Daisy Theatre downtown, will offer yet another night of some of the best in live music in the Bluff City.
In its second run, Hear 901 returns with a refreshing lineup that will satisfy music tastes of all kinds. The new and noteworthy acts being featured include instrumental fusion band Bluff City Soul Collective, the punk rock band Sleepwlkrs, harmony-heavy duo Zuster, pop virtuoso Lauren Moscato, hip-hop whiz Early, and indie rockers The Band Camino.
One of the things that makes the Hear 901 Festival stand out from others, is that it is entirely student promoted, staffed, and managed. Blue Tom Records provides an environment for students with a real world approach when dealing with promotion, management, and production of a live musical event twice a year. We encourage members of the press to consider the show for Critics Choice accolades, as it promises to be an unrivaled live event that embodies the virtuous Memphis spirit.
