Blue Tom Records presents:
the HEAR 901 Music Festival @ The New Daisy, Memphis, TN
Assorted lineup comes together to deliver the sound of Memphis through Hear 901
Memphis, Tenn.- Purveyors of good music whether it be indie rock, rap, or soul will be pleased to know that Blue TOM Records, University of Memphis’ student run record label, is presenting their first festival of the year with the Hear 901 music festival on April 11, 2015. The event, being held at the legendary New Daisy Theatre downtown, will give audiences a full course of what Memphis music has to offer.
Hear 901 will spotlight the amazing talents of music from various acts based in Memphis. The festival will feature local artists including Mary Owens, Drew Erwin, Mara Daniele, Mason Jar Fireflies, The Passport, Jeffery Jordan, Ben Callicott, Sleepwlkrs, Frank Shaw, Austyn Michael, Daughters, and DJ Ben Murray.
Hear 901 also serves as the album release show for Blue TOM’s newest artist, Mary Owens. According to the Memphis Flyer, Owens has “a voice that hovers over the chords until it strikes like lightning.” Backed by her grooving 12-piece band, Owens will be performing songs from her debut album, Sweet Soul. We encourage members of the press to consider the show for Critics Choice accolades, as it promises to be an unrivaled live event that embodies the virtuous Memphis spirit.
