About the Creators
David Parks is a native Memphian and accomplished bassist. David started playing bass in Overton High School’s acclaimed program under the direction of the late Jeff Huddleston. The result of his commitment was a scholarship award from University of Memphis where David earned a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance. He found time during college to participate in MTV’s show Making His Band, becoming a fan favorite. Shortly after that stint on the cable network, he secured the role of bassist for platinum recording artist Sean Kingston for several world tours. Justin Beiber grabbed Parks for his touring band immediately after the Kingston tours. From Staples Center to Madison Square Garden, arenas of 20,000 screaming fans began to be the norm. Shortly after the stint with the Beibs, Parks was lucky enough to snag his current pop-circuit, prime time gig with multi-platinum superstar, Jason Derulo.
Damien “DjDnyce” Woods is a visionary disguised as a talented DJ from Memphis, TN. Co-creator of Lyfe is Dope and K97 affiliate, Dnyce has been an integral part of the industry since 2007. His versatility and ability to universally entertain a variety of crowds has made him one of Memphis’ most requested DJ’s and a prominent fixture at some of the Top 100 ranked spots from Nightclub and Bar. But he always finds time for a permanent chair at Club 152 on Beale Street. DNyce can be heard on nationally syndicated mix shows for K97 & iHeart Music. Recently Dnyce became a main stay on the Red Bull corporate circuit.
