Are you interested in strengthening your songwriting skills? Have you ever wondered about starting your own publishing company or how to license your songs? Then this weekend of workshops is for you! The three key speakers will touch on these topics during the Friday night workshop as well as be available to answer your questions pertaining to songwriting.

The Friday night event will feature Bob Dellaposta, Boo Mitchell and Ben Yonas. Bob is an internationally known musician and songwriter, and is the co-founder of Silver Spring Music Publishing (BMI) and On The Row Music Publishing (ASCAP), the current head of A&R for the Nashville division of Banner Records and has been in music education for 17 years. He will be accompanied by Boo Mitchell a songwriter, audio engineer, record producer, and the owner of Royal Studios in Memphis. Also joining them will be Ben Yonas, the founder, producer, and manager of Yonas Media – a music production, artist management, and event production company. They will be speaking on their knowledge of songwriting, publishing, copywriting, and creating demos.

Individual sessions with Bob Dellaposta will be available on Saturday for an additional charge and are a wonderful investment for songwriters. Sessions will provide the chance to receive evaluations and feedback of their music by experts in the field. Dellaposta will be offering critiques, evaluation, as well as screening songs for possible licensing opportunities! These sessions are purchased separately and are $50 for a 30 minute session.

Saturday will begin with individual sessions between 10 am and noon. The afternoon workshops session with Dellaposta will get kicked off at 1 pm and last until 4:15 pm. During this time, attendees will learn about songwriting, publishing, copyright and demo process. Dellaposta will also teach attendees about thinking outside the box and how to be pro-active with a songwriting and publishing career. Finally, there will be a Q&A session and listening critique (bring a CD for a chance to have your music reviewed) from 4:15-6 pm, after which there will be any additionally scheduled 1 on 1 sessions.
